And it's actually in these hadiths that the famous black cumin seed is mentioned several times, in authentic hadiths.

In Sahih Al Boukhari, we find the following hadith: "There is in black cumin seed a remedy for every disease, except for sâm."

The word "sâm" means death in French.

Another hadith this time reported by Abu Salam and Abu Hourayra mentions it: "Take this black cumin seed for it contains a cure for every disease except death."

Cited in several hadiths, black cumin is therefore part of the large family of products of prophetic medicine.

In particular, he cites therapeutic virtues including the fight against lung disease, ear infections and even hypertension.

For the Muslim, these studies don't need to be, as believing in the words of the Prophet ﷺ is part of his creed. But it's still good to see that they are confirmed and that this subject is as vast as it is fascinating.
