KHÔL ARTISANAL 100% NATUREL (sans plomb)
Kohl is an eye care that makes up at the same time. It is a powder based on natural elements that is placed at the edge of the eye.
Used traditionally as eye drops or to protect itself naturally from external aggressions, the kohl has protective virtues. It fights eye infections or other diseases while beautifying the eyes.
It is ideal for people looking for a soothing care / make-up for their eyes without it being the makeup itself (can be applied even at night) This kohl can be left several days without problems.
Historically, the Khôl has existed for more than 4500 years, it was first used among Egyptians mainly as protection against intense light refractions emitted by the desert sands. Its medicinal properties were also known to prevent all kinds of eye infections.
Quickly conquered by the depth and mystery conferred by the Khôl to their eyes, Pharaohs and other subjects, women and men, used this black powder to make their eyes look.
Over the centuries, kohl continued to be used by Arabs and Berbers.
Our kohl powder is handmade in Morocco and is 100% natural. It is composed of saffron, dates kernels, olive stones, rose petals and antimony.
Khôl and controversies ... what you need to know!
The kohl powder is also very controversial because of the regular presence of lead and sometimes even iron filings.
Our artisanal kohl is made by competent people in Morocco and contains no lead or chemicals.
Little trick to check if there is lead in your kohl: pour your kohl on a sheet then pass a magnet underneath, if the kohl moves and follows the magnet, it contains iron filings. We strongly advise you not to use it.
Our kohl comes with a wooden applicator "mirwed" (lemon or orange tree) in a pretty cardboard box.
Use and use:
- In fresh medicine:
If you suffer from the sun or the wind and you do not have glasses, the Khôl will be of great help to you.
The first few times you apply Khol, it is possible that you secrete tear fluid, a sign that the eyeball is cleaning up. Attention therefore to people who wear lenses! If you wear some, wait a few minutes after the installation of Khôl so that it fixes well, then put your lenses.
- In cosmetics:
Traditionally, Khôl is applied using a wooden stick called "mirwed". After having coated it with Khol powder, the stick is glided between the two eyelids and the movement of the back and forth of the eye harmonizes the eye or the eyelid harmoniously. The mirwed is gently removed from the outer side of the eye so that the kohl is distributed.
You can rectify the trace if necessary.
It is possible that your eyes "cry" at the first application, do not worry remember that the Khôl is first of all a cleanser for the eye. Let it cry, clean up the excess and you're done!
