*A fair and sustainable trade
The vegetable oil we offer you comes from Nigella plantations in Ethiopia in a rural area.
In this region, most of the workers' livelihoods come from Nigella. The earnings generated by this trade also contribute financially to help these workers and their families gain access to education and the healthcare system.
Our grower has, however, been able to make a significant contribution.
Our producer has also developed this action with respect for ecosystems in order to offer us quality products within the framework of sustainable development. Nigella seeds (Black Cumin) are cold-pressed using a totally ecological, energy-efficient process to obtain a vegetable oil rich in active principles.
Thanks to its unique composition and especially its rich thymoquinone content, black cumin oil has an extremely wide range of healing properties.

- Monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA): oleic acid (omega-9)
- Saturated fatty acids (SFA): palmitic acid
Other active constituents :
- Nigella essential oil (0.2 to 3%), including thymoquinone (approx. 35%), para-cymene (approx. 30%): immunostimulant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory...

Note:linoleic acid is a polyunsaturated fatty acid belonging to the omega-6 family. This fatty acid is not synthesized by the body. That's why it's called an "essential" fatty acid. An omega-6 deficiency can lead to intense skin dryness and allergies.
At cutaneous level, this fatty acid enters into the composition of ceramides. It helps reconstitute epidermal lipids and promotes good cohesion between skin cells. Linoleic acid helps limit water loss from the skin, while offering softening and nourishing qualities.
The oil is obtained by cold pressing, in an artisanal way that respects the raw material.
The seeds undergo no temperature rise and no chemical treatment.
No solvents are used to increase yields.
In this way, black cumin oil retains all its properties, as its active ingredients are preserved.
Nigella in all its forms is not recommended for pregnant women, breastfeeding and children under 6.
If you're allergic to Ranunculus, don't use it.
Although no drug interactions have been reported, if you are ill and under treatment, seek advice from your doctor before taking black cumin.
Nigella has effects on blood circulation, blood sugar and blood pressure.
Nigella oil can cause contact dermatitis. Perform a skin tolerance test before applying. Do not get in eyes (burns).
Black cumin oil is one of the vegetable oils that is sensitive to oxidation.
Store it in a cool (less than 20°C), dry place, away from light, humidity and heat.
Close it tightly after each use and wipe the screw thread with a clean, dry cloth.

C’est la première fois que j’en consomme pour problèmes estomac. Pas assez de recul pour donner un avis sur son effet. Tout laisse à penser qu’il s’agit d’un bon produit : origine, couleur de l’huile, goût, date de fabrication

I've tried several different brands, available in the local market, and I understood why I was recommended exactly Ethiopian one. I haven't had a chance to compare with another brand from Ethiopia, but among the rest, this product is simply outstanding
