Our Safawi dates are grown in the Medina region of Saudi Arabia. They are harvested when ripe (ripe dates, or tamr), sorted and selected in Medinan palm groves, then packaged.
Arabian date palms are renowned for producing large quantities of dates all year round. Their production is among the best in the world, and the Safawi variety - a cousin of the Ajwa - is less well known, but just as excellent.

These dates are not pitted, so please remove the pit before eating.
Keep them out of the reach of young children, who risk choking on the pit or because of their size (same size as the esophagus).
Although this fruit is good for your health, be sure to eat it in moderation. Its high fiber content can cause transit problems and stomach aches. It's a product rich in fast carbohydrates, and therefore caloric.
People prone to tooth decay should also take precautions.
There are several ways to store Safawi dates to extend their shelf life and preserve their organoleptic qualities:
At room temperature: store them in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. A paper bag or airtight container (glass or plastic jar) may be suitable.

In the fridge: this method of preservation extends their shelf life and retains their moisture. Place dates in an airtight container and put them in the crisper drawer, to prevent them from drying out.

In the freezer: if you plan to use the dates later, you can freeze them. Placed in an airtight container, they will keep for a longer period of time, on the order of several months. Take them out of the freezer a few hours before use, or defrost them in a bowl of water. Never refreeze a thawed product.
Dates are perishable, so they have a limited shelf life, especially if stored at room temperature (on the order of a few weeks, depending on the variety). Eat them quickly for the best taste experience. If you notice a change in smell or color, they are unfit for consumption.
