The water of "Zamzam" is at the top of the waters, for it is the noblest, the most glorious, the most esteemed, the most expensive and the most precious, for it was dug by the Angel Djibrîl ('alayhi as-salam) and quenched Ismâ-îl's ('alayhi as-salam) thirst.
The Zamzam well has a depth of around 30.5 meters and a diameter of between 1.08 and 2.66 meters. The well is located on the first floor of the Mecca mosque, surrounded by glass panels allowing a clear view of the interior. The water is drawn by electric pumps and made available to taps in specific areas of the mosque.
Zamzam water is a blessed water for Muslims. This water, with its many health benefits, is linked to the history of the Kaaba, Allah's sacred house in Mecca.

The Water of Zam Zam takes its name from the sacred well located in the Sacred Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. According to Islamic tradition, this spring was miraculously created by Allah to save the life of Ishmael, the son of the prophet Ibrahim (Abraham). This uplifting story of divine providence gives the Water of Zam Zam a special place in the hearts of all Muslims.
Zam Zam Water is synonymous with purity. It is extracted from deep in the Holy Land of Mecca and is considered the purest of all waters. Pilgrims visiting Mecca aspire to drink from this sacred water to purify themselves. Zamzam water has many characteristics that make it unique and different from other water sources.
In fact, it has never been contaminated throughout history. However, the Zamzam well still supplies water to all those who visit the Holy Mosque of Mecca. No visitor has complained that their health was affected after drinking it, and no biological growth has been found in the well, such as algae or other organisms.
Zamzam water is unique in its characteristics because it is "carbonated hard water" by nature. It has been proven that there is no microbial growth in Zamzam well water.
Researchers revealed the presence of 34 elements in Zamzam water, including calcium , magnesium , sodium and chloride in higher concentrations than in natural water.
Zamzam water has unique oncolytic (anticancer) properties and a powerful anti-inflammatory effect. It has a strong anti-tumor necrosis factor effect and an effect on interleukin I (IL1).
The high concentrations of Zamzam water make it ideal for use in the treatment of cancer.
High fluoride concentrations in water prevent the onset of tooth decay and preserve oral health.
The amount of arsenic, cadmium, lead and selenium is well below the level dangerous for human consumption. It is therefore non-toxic.

Miraculously, the water has never been contaminated by micro-organisms, whereas it is common to find algae and bacteria in wells.
It is reported that the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وسلّم) told Aboû Dharr (رضي الله عنه), when he had stayed for forty days near the Ka'bah with no food other than Zamzam water. The Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وسلّم) said:"It is a food that brings satiety"[Reported by Mouslim (2473)]
And in other chains of transmission, it is added:"and a cure for illness. " [Sahîh At-Targhîb wa-t-Tarhîb (1162)]
Jâbir ibn 'Abd-Allah (رضي الله عنه) reports that the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وسلّم) said:"The water of Zamzam is what it is drunk for. " [Sahîh At-Targhîb wa-t-Tarhîb]
