Litchi honey is an interesting source of antioxidants, particularly vitamin C. These antioxidants contribute to the body's overall good health, fighting free radicals that cause cellular aging and strengthening the immune system.

Of course, the antioxidant, vitamin and mineral content varies according to the provenance of the honeys (Madagascar, Bangladesh, Thailand...) and their production conditions.

The emblematic honey of Madagascar is traditionally used for:

fight microbial infections;
soothe stomach aches;
reduce acid reflux and heartburn;
rebalance intestinal flora;
treat constipation;
soothe coughs and irritated throats;
stimulate natural defenses;
reduce fatigue and nervousness;
favor healing of light wounds;
calm burns and sunburns;

Lychee honey is perfect for breakfast, on toast, in cooking and baking, and in hot and cold drinks.

Its flavor goes well with goat's cheese, lightly sweetened brioche or exotic fruit salads.

It's also perfect for West Indian recipes, such as glazing duck breast or sweetening pineapple upside-down cake.

All natural honeys have healing and repairing properties, and can be applied to the skin as a cosmetic treatment or for minor burns/wounds.

This organic lychee honey is harvested in Madagascar and produced from the nectar of lychee flowers. The Anôsy region, in the extreme south-east of the island, is home to wild lychees, which flower spontaneously and abundantly from August to September.

Honey is harvested in October/November, depending on the region, using traditional methods and without heating, before being put into jars.

Our lychee honey is certified organic by Ecocert, which guarantees both the quality of the honey and the preservation of the environment.

The island of Madagascar boasts an extremely rich biodiversity, which we were keen to protect through an eco-responsible approach, with particular attention paid to the Malagasy bees, who offer us the fruit of their precious labor.

In accordance with World Health Organization recommendations, honey and honey-based products are not recommended for children under 12 months (potential exposure to botulinum toxin).

As a precaution, remember to carry out an allergy test before applying any product to the skin.

Store your jar away from light, heat and humidity, between 9 and 25°C.

Do not refrigerate or freeze. Close tightly after use and consume promptly to enjoy the aromas and benefits.

Please note: lychee honey tends to crystallize quickly. A jar shipped to France will therefore be systematically creamy, or even highly crystallized. It can only be found in liquid form in Madagascar, where climatic conditions are tropical and heat prevents natural crystallization. Otherwise, it has been heated during packaging, which our beekeepers do not do, so as not to alter the quality of the honey.
